• Sherwood, Tualatin, Cornelius part of pilot program for personal sharps disposal (beavertonvalleytimes.com) — Cornelius residents now have a free, secure drop-off box for used medical sharps outside the Virginia Garcia Wellness Center on North Adair Street, as part of a new Metro pilot program. The box, already collecting hundreds of needles, aims to keep trash collectors, neighbors, and the environment safer by keeping syringes and lancets out of household garbage and landfills.
