• Hwy 224 closed in Estacada due to fiery crash (kptv.com) — Highway 224 through Estacada is shut down this afternoon at Southeast River Mill Road after a multi-vehicle crash that left one car on fire, according to Estacada Fire District. Clackamas County deputies have closed the highway while emergency crews work the scene and assess injuries, and residents are urged to avoid the area until officials reopen the road. 
• Pacific Northwest projects totaling $18.2 million in top bidders (djcoregon.com) — Estacada’s planned water treatment plant upgrade just took a key step forward, with HP Civil Inc. of Salem named the apparent low bidder at about $3.7 million on a project the city estimated at up to $8 million. The weekly construction roundup also highlights several other large public works contracts around Oregon and Washington, but this upgrade will matter most for Estacada’s future water reliability.
