• Area tracksters delivered plenty of quality performances at state meet (woodburnindependent.com) — Gervais High track athletes made a strong showing at the state meet, with Mitchell Boyd taking second in the 2A boys shot put and Ben Cam placing seventh in the long jump. Competing at Hayward Field in Eugene, they joined standout performers from North Marion, Kennedy, and St. Paul to close out the high school track season with multiple medals across events.
