Man who Allegedly Abused Teen on Plane Pleads Not Guilty

The Gresham man charged with attacking a teen on a plane has pleaded not guilty.

Chad Cameron Camp, who has been in jail since being arrested last month. was indicted in federal court on one count of abusive sexual conduct.

The teen who was allegedly his victim told police the experience left he feeling "frightened and trapped."

She told police and the FBI that Camp, who was seated next to her, almost immediately touching her on her knee, thigh, and crotch.

The incident happened on a flight from Dallas to Portland, police said.

Camp was arrested by the FBI when he got off the plane in Portland.

A witness later described seeing Camp have several drinks.

The trial is scheduled to begin in September.

Meanwhile, the family of the teen has filed a $10 million suit against American Airlines and Camp.
