Players and coaches are also focused on boosting game attendance, academics, and school spirit, with a strong core of returning starters leading a more experienced defense and attack.

Elderly man seriously hurt after being hit by car in Gresham (kptv.com) — Traffic on Burnside in downtown Gresham is down to one lane each way after an elderly man was seriously hurt while crossing near NE Burnside Road and NE Kelly Avenue Wednesday night. Gresham Police say he was outside the crosswalk when a car hit him, and investigators and crews are still working the scene as drivers are urged to use caution.

3. Woman who 'chased' kids with SUV at Oregon Dollar Tree avoids jail after plea deal, says she had 'meltdown' (knewz.com) — A woman from Fairview received three years of probation, but no jail time, after admitting to driving her SUV toward children outside a Dollar Tree in Gresham and later calling it a meltdown. Gresham police first responded to the December 2025 incident, and parents of the children agreed to the plea deal, which also requires treatment and dropped more serious felony counts.

4. Hazardous materials in Estacada triggers evacuation (theoutlookonline.com) — Emergency crews, including Gresham Fire's hazmat team, responded to a volatile chemical drum in Estacada that briefly triggered a Level 3 "Go Now" evacuation near Veterans Way. Officials have since reduced the evacuation zone to 150 feet, but nearby roads remain closed while specialists work to stabilize the situation and keep surrounding communities safe.
