• Wallowa Loop Road opens earlier than usual (wallowa.com) — If you’re driving from Halfway toward Joseph or Hells Canyon, Forest Road 39 between Highway 86 east of town and Highway 350 is already open thanks to light snowpack. The route gives access to campgrounds and the Hells Canyon Overlook, though some higher-elevation roads like parts of Elkhorn Drive remain blocked by snow.
