Hillsboro Food Co-op Plans to Fill Former Hank's Thriftway Site Downtown (whatnow.com) — A long-vacant downtown Hillsboro site is slated to become a community-owned Hillsboro Food Co-op grocery with hundreds of new housing units above it. Backed by a city disposition agreement and Kōz Development, construction is expected to run about two years from this spring, with senior and workforce housing plus ground-floor retail reshaping Block 67 near SE Baseline and Washington.

Hillsboro council hears appeals over private jet hangar plan (kptv.com) — Hillsboro City Council is weighing appeals that challenge a proposed private jet hangar at Hillsboro Airport, as residents and Oregon Aviation Watch raise environmental and noise concerns. Developers argue the project fits the city's long-term aviation plans, while opponents push for deeper environmental review before any expansion moves forward.
3. 1 person hurt after rollover crash in Hillsboro (kptv.com) — Emergency crews responded to a rollover crash Wednesday afternoon near NE Evergreen Road and NE Brookwood Parkway in Hillsboro, sending one person to the hospital. All southbound lanes of Brookwood were briefly closed but reopened around 4:45 p.m., so regular traffic has since resumed through this busy corridor.
4. Nation's most destructive forest pest found in Salem, Beaverton (naturalresourcereport.com) — Emerald ash borer has likely been found for the first time at Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve in Hillsboro, adding to confirmed detections across the Willamette Valley.
