Hermiston man killed in hit-and-run crash near Hood River (applevalleynewsnow.com) — A 24-year-old Hermiston man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early April 26 on westbound I-84 near Hood River, and state troopers are still looking for the driver. Investigators say the victim was walking in the travel lane when struck, and they’re asking anyone with information to call Oregon State Police and reference case SP26-135374.
   

5. Eagles lacrosse teams see success (columbiagorgenews.com) — Hood River Valley lacrosse is on a roll, with the girls team riding a five-game win streak after big victories over Lincoln and Camas. The boys squad is 8-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play, bouncing back quickly after a tough loss to top-ranked Oregon Episcopal.
