The university also earned recognition for helping students from diverse economic backgrounds succeed, reinforcing its role as a key educational anchor for La Grande and the region.
   

• Festival's filmmaker-in-residence offers advice to other aspiring indie storytellers - Port Townsend & Jefferson County Leader (ptleader.com) — La Grande's growing role as a film location is highlighted through the indie movie "Breakup Season," which was shot in town and now has a commemorative downtown plaque and recurring winter screenings at the Granada Theatre through 2037.
