Lake Oswego School Board Approves $180 Million Bond Measure

It will be put forth to voters in May, 2017.

The Lake Oswego School Board has approved asking voters for $180 million in a ballot measure next May. It would be the first of several bond measures over the next few years.

The first measure would raise money to replace Lakeridge Junior High School as well as upgrades at other schools in the district. If approved, it would add $.95 per $1,000 in assessed values to the property tax bills of residents.

The decision by the school board comes after months of public meetings as well as phone surveys and more. And, if parents and residents missed out, the board has three more meetings - September 6, September 19, and September 26 - before it is scheduled to hold a final vote on October 10.
