• 3-Year-Old Found Safe, Reunited with Father After Amber Alert Sparks Multi-Agency Search (kxl.com) — A regional Amber Alert ended in Lake Oswego when police safely located 3-year-old Joshua Ovalles and reunited him with his father after his mother left him at a local acquaintance's home and fled. Lake Oswego detectives then found and arrested the mother, who now faces custodial interference and kidnapping charges, following a judge's earlier ruling that the child was in immediate danger in her unsupervised care.
   

• 6 people cited in 5-hour Human Trafficking Sting in Milwaukie area (katu.com) — Lake Oswego residents should know their police department joined Milwaukie and other agencies in a five-hour human trafficking sting that cited six people for commercial sexual solicitation and one for cocaine possession. The operation focused on curbing demand for paid sex, with officials emphasizing protection of trafficking victims and potential diversion programs for some offenders.
