Check out The Review's 2026 election coverage (lakeoswegoreview.com) — Lake Oswego voters can now track detailed coverage of the crowded City Council race, with six candidates vying for four open seats and profiles already available for some contenders. The Review is also updating guides on West Linn and Wilsonville races, plus a Wilsonville urban renewal measure, to help you prepare before ballots arrive for the Nov. 4 election.
   

2. Sept. 24 public safety round-up for the Newberg, Dundee areas (newberggraphic.com) — A recent Newberg-Dundee public safety roundup includes the arrest of a 62-year-old Lake Oswego resident on suspicion of controlled substance possession and DUII, alongside several other regional cases. 3. As state law changes in 2027, the discussion could influence how other nearby cities regulate where and how powered micromobility devices are used, which may eventually shape updates or enforcement approaches in Lake Oswego too.
   

4. Incumbents campaign on experience in closely watched Clackamas County commissioner races (oregonlive.com) — Clackamas County's upcoming commissioner races will shape budgets, public safety funding, and growth policies that directly affect Lake Oswego, and Commissioner Paul Savas is touting endorsements from the city's mayor. The contests pit experienced incumbents against challengers raising questions about homelessness, taxes, data centers, and how aggressively the county should fund law enforcement and economic development.
   

5. New Lake Oswego art piece highlights Lake Oswego's racist history, offers hope for the future (lakeoswegoreview.com) — A new "Echoes of Belonging" art installation outside the Lake Oswego Public Library confronts the city's racist past, including sundown practices and discriminatory housing covenants, while celebrating Indigenous and communities of color.
