• McMinnville Data Breach: 53K Visits to Leaked Records (tech-insider.org) — McMinnville city officials are grappling with a ransomware-driven data breach that left sensitive police, court, financial, and personal records exposed on the dark web for months. A local cybersecurity expert says the leaked trove was easy to find and may be broader than the city’s initial notice suggests, so residents are urged to use the city’s hotline and step up credit and identity protections.
   

• Carlton man nabbed in drug bust in Newberg (newsbreak.com) — A Carlton man was arrested in Newberg after deputies say they found about 2.2 pounds of suspected meth and some fentanyl in his vehicle, and he was booked into the county jail in McMinnville. Yamhill County and Washington County officers teamed up for the bust at a Portland Road Walgreens, and investigators expect more charges as they continue probing regional narcotics trafficking.
   

• Wyden, Merkley Press Officials for Answers on UAS Testing Pauses in Pendleton, McMinnville and Tillamook (senate.gov) — McMinnville’s role in Oregon’s unmanned aircraft testing network is on hold as U.S. Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley press federal aviation officials to quickly resolve a safety-related pause affecting sites in Pendleton, McMinnville, and Tillamook. The senators warn that the shutdown is disrupting aerospace and defense work and creating economic uncertainty for communities that rely on these test ranges.
