• Oregon Law Banning Corporate Takeovers of Local Medical Care Introduced in Congress (oregon.gov) — Metzger residents are represented by House Majority Leader Ben Bowman, who helped pass Oregon's landmark ban on corporate control of medical practices and now backs similar federal legislation. The new congressional bill, modeled on Oregon's Senate Bill 951, aims to keep medical decisions between patients and doctors by limiting private equity and corporate influence over local clinics and hospitals nationwide.
