ā¢ Authorities warn of e-bike, e-scooter safety concerns amid rising use (kval.com) ā With e-bikes and e-scooters popping up all over Newport and Lincoln County, the sheriffās office is laying out who can ride, where theyāre allowed, and what gear is required. Riders 16 and older must follow specific speed, helmet, lighting, and lane rules that differ for e-bikes, mopeds, and e-scooters to keep pedestrians, drivers, and themselves safer on local roads.

ā¢ Here's what you need to know about air quality in the Willamette Valley (klcc.org) ā Smoky wildfire conditions are pushing Newportās air quality into the āmoderateā range, while many inland Oregon cities face āunhealthyā or worse levels through at least Thursday night.
