• TVCC expands waiver to high school seniors nationwide (idahoednews.org) — Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario is opening its academic merit tuition waiver to high school seniors nationwide, giving strong students a chance to cut tuition by about 30%. Local families should note that applicants need a 3.5 unweighted GPA across all four years of high school, and the deadline for the 2026–27 school year is June 30. 
• Ontario Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Fentanyl Trafficking (gorgenewscenter.com) — An Ontario man has been sentenced to more than five years in federal prison for transporting fentanyl from Portland into Malheur County, following a High Desert Drug Task Force investigation. Local agencies, including Ontario Police and the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office, played key roles in the case, which officials say reflects ongoing regional efforts to disrupt drug trafficking networks.
