• Company in Ontario fined over $48K for stormwater violations (elkhornmediagroup.com) — An Ontario excavating company has been fined more than $47,000 by Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality for stormwater permit violations that regulators say affected human health and aquatic life. The firm allegedly failed to properly monitor discharges and sent wastewater to an unapproved location, and now has 20 days to either pay the penalty or appeal.
