Brothers Charged with Murder of Missing Couple Tied to Oregon City

Prosecutors in Snohomish County have filed first degree murder charges against two brothers believed responsible for the deaths of a couple with ties to Oregon City.

Patrick Shunn and his wife, Monique Patenaude, have not been seen since Monday.

They had been involved in a dispute with John Reed, who had been their neighbor, and his brother John.

Detectives from the Snohomish Country Sheriff's Office believe the brothers are responsible for the murder of the couple based on evidence.

Court papers indicate that blood was found in John Reed's pickup and in his former home.

Officials said Tuesday that they believe the brothers were given a gold Acura and cash by friends who knew the brothers are on the run.
