Pendleton receives Award for Excellence from League of Oregon Cities (northeastoregonnow.com) ā Pendleton has just earned a statewide Award for Excellence for its innovative Wastewater Treatment Resource Recovery Facility, highlighted during the League of Oregon Cities conference held at the Pendleton Convention Center. The project uses solar, battery storage, and creative financing to modernize essential infrastructure, protect ratepayers, and move the city toward its net-zero energy goals.

Oregon State University names new Diamond Pioneer Registry members (capitalpress.com) ā Pendletonās own Don Wysocki has been named to Oregon State Universityās Diamond Pioneer Registry for his longtime leadership with OSU Extension and the Columbia Basin Agricultural Research Center in Umatilla County. He joins 23 other honorees from across Oregon recognized for lifetime contributions to agriculture, natural resources, and rural communities that shape the stateās food and farm economy.

Five-dollar per gallon gas becoming more common in Oregon, Washington (elkhornmediagroup.com) ā Pendleton drivers are still paying under $5 per gallon, with regular gas averaging about $4.87 locally while Oregonās statewide average has climbed to $5.10.
