• OSP helps catch rape suspect near Umatilla, nabs drivers for DUII (eastoregonian.com) — Recent Oregon State Police activity in Pendleton led to a DUII arrest on Westgate and alcohol testing at the Umatilla County Jail in town, with a reported blood-alcohol level about twice the legal limit. Troopers also handled other suspected impaired-driving crashes around Umatilla County and helped local agencies stop a Washington rape and kidnapping suspect after a pursuit crossed into Oregon.

• Gov reappoints Roberta Lavadour to Oregon Arts Commission (eastoregonian.com) — Pendleton artist and arts leader Roberta Lavadour has been reappointed by Gov. Tina Kotek to the Oregon Arts Commission, keeping a strong local voice in statewide arts decisions. Lavadour, who has led the Pendleton Center for the Arts for 20 years and serves on the city’s art commission, will continue helping guide funding and support for arts organizations and artists across Oregon.
