• An Oregon school district approved a 4-day school week. Then Gov. Kotek tightened the screws on school days (opb.org) — Families in the Port Orford-Langlois School District will stay on a five-day school week after Gov. Tina Kotek’s new order blocked their recently approved four-day schedule. Local educators say the change would have helped with staffing, costs, and collaboration with nearby four-day districts, and they’re now pushing for more local input as the state revisits rules on instructional time and student outcomes.
