4th of July Fireworks: Portland Expands Ways to Report Illegal Fireworks
In addition to 503-823-BOOM, the city has a handy form that you can fill out on the web.

With the Fourth of July just around the corner, the city of Portland has set up a new way to report illegal fireworks activity.
In addition to the hotline, 503-823-BOOM, they have established a form you can fill out a form on the web at: www.portlandoregon.gov/fire/reportfireworks.
The phone line, established a couple of years ago, was intended to divert calls from 9-1-1, which they want to leave open for actual emergencies.

They hope some people will use the website as well.
The hope is that once they look at all the data, they will be able to conceive stronger enforcement the following year.
Officials want people to remember that Oregon law bans possession, use, or sale of any fireworks that fly, explode, travel more than one foot in the air, or more than six feet on the ground.
