Bill Clinton Coming to Portland as Hillary Campaign Ups Its Game in Oregon

The former president will be here Thursday.

President Bill Clinton is expected to be in Portland Thursday for an event to help the campaign of his wife.

Oregon's primary is next Tuesday.

The former president will also make an appearance in Bend.

He "will discuss Hillary Clinton's plans to raise incomes and break down the barriers that are holding Oregon families back," according to the campaign.

Meanwhile, LGBT for Hillary is holding a phone bank Monday afternoon from 4 -6.

Olympic medalist Michelle Kwan and actress Kathleen Turner will be on hand helping make calls.

Clinton's opponent, Bernie Sanders, was in Oregon last week, giving a speech in Springfield.

And during an event in Portland in March, Sanders gave a speech that literally had a bird being put on it.
