Portland Fire Rescues Ducklings - Again!

Second rescue in three days.

For the second time in three days, firefighters from Portland Fire and Rescue have pulled trapped duckings from a storm drain.

This time it was Tuesday morning near North Marine Drive and Suttie Road.

Eight ducklings had fallen down the drain and were successfully rescued by firefighters.

Unfortunately, the mother duck and two other ducklings were found dead in a nearby parking lot.

The lucky eight are being cared for by the Portland Audubon Society.

On Sunday, firefighters were involved in another rescue.
