Death Threats Poured in For Oregon Governor, Law Enforcement Officers
Dozens of threats to people including sheriff's deputies and Governor Kate Brown.

After the shooting death of LaVoy Fincium in January when the #OregonStandoff figure reached for a gun during a traffic stop, threats poured in to officials across Oregon, from Oregon State troopers, sheriff's deputies, and even Governor Kate Brown.
"We are going to shoot to kill," one person threatened in a phone call just hours after Finicum's death.
Another caller warned Governor Brown "you'd better watch your back."

One person wrote: "We're coming to Oregon. You're corrupt, your government's corrupt and you murdered an innocent man. Shame on you. We're gonna shut you down."
"Kill cops because they are cops," one posted. "Just walk up asking for directions and shot them in the f****** face."

The threats were among the latest documents released by the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office as part of their investigation into the death of Finicum.
The threats are being investigated by law enforcement agencies including The Oregon State Police and the FBI.
Law enforcement officials have cited the threats as part of the reason they have chosen not to name the officers involved in the shooting.
After one of those threats, someone from the Crook County's Sheriff's Office sent a warning to colleagues.
"Considering the recent events in Burns and the potential for upset people in the area, I want to remind everyone to be vigilant and aware of the people around you," he wrote.
"Please be aware of your surroundings. As well as your homes. If you are not busy during your patrol shifts, please keep an eye out for one another and drive by your fellow officers residences. We have an obligation to our citizens to keep them safe as well as our law enforcement families."
