Intruder Killed While in Child's Bedroom Identified as Gresham Man
David McCrary was shot and killed by Tara-Alexis Ford when she came home and found him in her daughter's room.

Tara-Alexis Ford and her two children - a five-year-old son and ten-year-old daughter - returned to their home in Southeast Portland early Sunday morning,
Inside her daughter's bedroom, Ford, 33, discovered discovered a man. He was armed. So was she. She shot him once, killing him.
Police have identified the man as 59-year-old David Daniel McCrary of Gresham.

He has no known connection to the house or Ford.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning in a home on the 4100 block of Southeast 118th place.

Police say that McCrary has no significant criminal history but may have been struggling with mental health issues.
Ford is cooperating with the investigation.
The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case and will determine whether or not to bring charges.
This is the second instance of a homeowner shooting an intruder in Portland in less than a week. On Wednesday a man shot a naked man trying to break into his house. That burglar turned out to be Stanford graduate and former Detroit Lion Stanley Wilson II.
