Youth resource fair brings free clothes, music and punk spirit to downtown Salem in 5th year (salemreporter.com) — A major youth-focused resource fair is returning to downtown Salem, offering free clothes, food, haircuts, and live punk and rock music at Riverfront Park. Teens 11-18 can get wristbands for exclusive access to a huge clothing closet, meals from local food trucks, and creative stations like "Build-A-Punk" and battle vest decorating, while connecting with over 70 local resource booths and mentors. 
2. 2026 Salem Fire Foundation Golf Tournament (salemreporter.com) — Salem residents are invited to join the 2026 Salem Fire Foundation Golf Tournament, a key fundraiser supporting local firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and 911 dispatchers. Proceeds help buy life-saving equipment, fund training and wellness programs, and close budget gaps so first responders have the tools and support they need to protect the community and return home safely.
3. Keizer Man Sentenced For Domestic Violence (kxl.com) — A Marion County jury in Salem has sentenced a Keizer man to six years in state prison, plus two years of supervision, for a violent domestic assault involving firearms at his home. Prosecutors say he assaulted his wife, pointed a handgun at her head while their children slept, and illegally possessed multiple guns before surrendering after a lengthy police response.
4. The Mammoth Tax Bill Owed by the Obscure Owner of a Salem Computer Repair Shop Defies Belief as Well as Payment (nrtoday.com) — A downtown Salem computer repair shop owner has been listed by Oregon's Department of Revenue as owing more than $21 million in state income taxes, despite running a modest local business and living a middle-class lifestyle. The article explores Oregon's public list of major tax delinquents, questions about how such a large liability arose, and broader efforts to collect overdue taxes statewide.
