• Clatsop County commemorates 9/11 in Seaside, Astoria (dailyastorian.com) — Seaside residents are invited to a free 9/11 25th‑anniversary commemoration at American Legion Post 99 on Friday, Sept. 11, featuring Mayor Steve Wright and former Clatsop County Sheriff John Raichl. The county’s fire and police departments will honor first responders, while Astoria firefighters will again climb from their station to the Astoria Column in full gear to mirror the World Trade Center stair climb. 
• Clatsop County news briefs for Sept. 5, 2026 (dailyastorian.com) — If you live in Seaside, expect City Hall, local schools, the library, and Sunset Pool to be closed on Labor Day, though garbage service and “The Bus” will still run.
