Their findings will help biologists design future crossings aimed at reducing frequent deer and elk collisions, tying local student learning directly to a long-term safety and conservation project affecting Sisters-area drivers and wildlife.

Real estate picture improves in Sisters (nuggetnews.com) — Homebuyers and sellers in Sisters are seeing a modest rebound, with more single-family home sales, lower listing prices, and slightly better affordability than last year. Median and average prices in Sisters Country have dipped, even as price per square foot edges up and lots sales hint at a coming construction boom. Inventory and longer selling times are giving buyers a bit more leverage.
