'Springfield, we heard you' Oakshire Brewing location to reopen Friday (registerguard.com) — Oakshire Brewing’s Oakshire Commons taproom on Main Street in downtown Springfield will reopen Friday, Sept. 4, just days after an announced indefinite closure, following strong community support. The taproom is returning with new hours and plans for added coffee service, more food options, and TVs for sports, aiming to remain a welcoming neighborhood gathering spot for Springfield residents.

Pleasant Hill football eager to build on breakthrough 2025 season (registerguard.com) — Springfield High’s football team opens its season Friday against Bend, part of a full slate of Eugene-Springfield prep matchups this week.
