• Watch: Sunriver Nature Center worker uses dance moves to distract swans for egg count (centraloregondaily.com) — Sunriver’s resident trumpeter swans, Gus and Val, have produced seven eggs at the Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory, and staff used food and some playful dance moves to safely count them. The swans are part of Oregon’s restoration project, and their cygnets will later be moved to learn wild behaviors before release. Visitors are urged not to approach or distract the swans themselves, as they can be very aggressive.
