• Hops Weekly: Red-hot bats in Spokane keep Hillsboro in the postseason hunt (beavertonvalleytimes.com) — Local baseball fans may recognize West Linn High alumnus Tim Tawa, who's now thriving in the Arizona Diamondbacks system, hitting .350 last week and .304 over his last 12 games. His surge comes as the Hillsboro Hops stay in the playoff chase after a record-setting offensive series in Spokane and an upcoming homestand against Tri-City and Eugene.
