Wilsonville Hosts Frog Pond Open House on Wednesday

The meeting will update residents on the planning process.

It was 1971 when Frog Pond was first mentioned as an area that could be a neighborhood in Wilsonville.

Now there is serious planning underway on how to make that happen. On Wednesday night the city is hosting an open house to give residents an update on how planning is going.

Earlier this summer, Wilsonville commissioned a survey to ask people what they think about everything from standards for home design, to where the parks should be, how the land should be used; even how the streets should be designed.

Wilsonville will need a new neighborhood.

Census numbers released earlier this year show the city population has grown by 15 percent over the past five years.

There are now nearly 23,000 people who call Wilsonville home.

The meeting Wednesday night will be held from 5:00–6:30 p.m., at City Hall, 29799 SW Town Center Loop East.
