Police recovered the victim’s unoccupied, stolen vehicle in Philadelphia.
Abington detectives discovered that the home had been specifically targeted.
One suspect, 24-year-old Jonathan Dell of Philadelphia, had a prior personal connection to a member of the household. That information, along with corroborating evidence, enabled detectives to identify Dell as a suspect and issue a warrant for his arrest.
Police worked with the Philadelphia Police Department, the U.S. Marshals, and the Philadelphia Department of Probation to locate Dell, who was taken into custody on Thursday.
He is charged with numerous offenses, including robbery, burglary, kidnapping, and carrying a firearm without a license. Dell was transferred to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, where he awaits arraignment.
