Abington To Continue Hearing On Proposed Nursing Facility Next Week
Chaverim Realty Partners, LLC is seeking conditional use for a property on Rydal Road as they seek to establish a nursing facility there.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Abington Township officials will continue the conditional use hearing regarding 1209 Rydal Road, for which Chaverim Realty Partners, LLC is eying a nursing facility.
The next hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29 at Penn State University, Sutherland Building Auditorium, at 1600 Woodland Road in Abington.
Chaverim is seeking Conditional Use approval pursuant to Section 301 of the Abington Township Zoning Ordinance to permit Use E-10: Life Care Facility (Continuing Care) and Use E-12: Nursing Home in the R-1 Low-Density Residential Zoning District.

According to Glenside Local, Chaverim bought the property for $600,000 in 2019 and initially sought to build townhomes and duplex units.
A copy of the application is on file with the Code Enforcement Office of the Township of Abington and may be reviewed by appointment only from 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
