Abington Resident Appointed Dean, St. Francis School of Nursing

Abington resident Sharnee Moore-Jervis, DNP(c), MSN, RN, ANP-BC, has been appointed Dean of St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing.

In this role, Moore-Jervis is responsible for the overall implementation and administration of the nursing education curriculum for the school, as well as the school’s budget, policies, faculty and student relations, and maintenance of state and national accreditations.

Prior to becoming Dean, Moore-Jervis served as the Course Chair for freshman-level curriculum at St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing. She has served as a faculty member at the school since January 2017.

A nurse for more than 26 years, Moore-Jervis has worked in nursing education for more than 10 years while also having earned her nurse practitioner certification. She is currently earning her Doctor of Nurse Practice degree from Walden University, expecting to complete the program in May 2019.

Moore-Jervis earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing Education from Wilmington University, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from West Chester University.

Throughout her career, Moore-Jervis has received numerous awards and recognitions for volunteering within health ministries, pathfinder clubs and youth ministries.

Moore-Jervis is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and The National Society of Leadership and Success.

St. Francis School of Nursing has been preparing students for professional nursing positions for 110 years. The school provides an educational program that is based on Christian values, which advocate caring, social responsibility and service to those in need.
