• Abington-Jenkintown Connections Project Completed (patch.com) — Abington residents will soon celebrate the long-awaited completion of the Abington-Jenkintown Connections project, which improves sidewalks, transit access, and stormwater management on key township roads. A public ribbon-cutting at Abington Friends School next Wednesday will mark the end of Phases 1–4, enhancing safety and connectivity for pedestrians and all road users in and around Abington.    

• Class of 2026's Abington Experience: Research drives career paths (psu.edu) — Penn State Abington seniors are showcasing how research at the local campus is shaping their careers and graduate plans. Information technology major Mahir Khan used faculty-mentored cybersecurity projects and travel courses to land a job and pursue a master’s degree, highlighting the hands-on “Abington Experience” available right in the township.    

• Jefferson Health, Penn Medicine targeting Montgomery County for new care centers, Jefferson Abington receiving ER expansion (glensidelocal.com) — Abington residents can expect a major upgrade to emergency care as Jefferson continues a $49 million expansion and modernization of Abington Jefferson Hospital. The project is part of Jefferson Health and Penn Medicine’s broader push to add new care centers across Montgomery County, which could eventually bring more neighborhood-level medical services closer to local homes.
