ABINGTON, PA -- An armed robber hit the Abington 7-11 early Christmas morning, police said. This same store has been victimized three times in 2016.
The robber entered the North Hills store on 2869 Limekiln Pike at about 4:03 a.m. on December 25, police said Tuesday afternoon. He was carrying a weapon - the precise type of weapon is not known - wrapped in a white cloth.
The suspect came up to the cash register and demanded "open the register!" He made off with a small, undisclosed amount of cash and a pack of Newport cigarettes, according to authorities.

The store has been robbed at least two other times in 2016. In April, an employee at the store was shot by an armed intruder when he tried to knock the gun out of the intruder's hands. And in May, a suspect made off with some cashwhen he pointed a handgun at the clerk.
Authorities are hoping to talk to a female customer who was in the store at the time of the most recent robbery. The woman left before police arrived, they said.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or who has any information should contact police at 267-536-1100.
