Every day, we are surrounded by headlines about political division, inequality, crime, free speech, and debates over what justice should look like in America. Yet few of us are ever given the opportunity to step back, learn from experts, and have meaningful conversations about these issues with people from different generations and backgrounds.
That's why AFS Interact is proud to host the United for Justice Justice Literacy Conference this Saturday in partnership with the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI), the organization founded by Just Mercy author Bryan Stevenson.
Featuring EJI Learning Engagement Specialist Tad Roach and attorney David Trevaskis, the conference will explore topics including justice literacy, individual rights, civic engagement, and how everyday citizens can help create stronger communities.
This event is for everyone: students, parents, grandparents, educators, and community members. In a time when our society often feels divided, United for Justice seeks to bring people together through education, dialogue, and a shared commitment to creating positive change.
The future of our communities will be shaped by informed citizens who are willing to learn, listen, and act. Join us as we come together to better understand the challenges facing our society and discover how each of us can make a difference.
Come out to turn understanding into change.
