Children's Choir, for anyone in Grades K-2, will begin on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 from 5:00 PM -5:40 PM.
Junior Choir, for anyone in Grades 3-8, will begin on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 from 5:45 PM to 6:30 PM.
Youth Choir, for anyone in Grades 9-12, will begin on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM.
Sanctuary Choir, for anyone in Grades 7-adult, will begin on Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

33 Years and Still Going Strong – The Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza Returns to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center September 17 – 20, 2026Oaks, PA – Mancuso Show Management is proud to present the 33rd annual Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza. The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center will host this spectacular event September 17 - September 20, 2026 featuring over 1000 works of textile art. Additionally, the festival offers vendors, hands on workshops, lectures, a fashion show and product demos. Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza is the center of it all for quilt, wearable and textile art! A highlight of this year’s event is a special exhibition by 7-time Tony Award-winning actor and playwright Harvey Fierstein. Best known for writing La Cage aux Folles and Kinky Boots and starring as Edna in Hairspray, Harvey has been making quilts for more than 30 years. During the COVID lockdown, his passion for quilting flourished, inspiring a remarkable collection of quilt art that the Extravaganza is thrilled to premiere. In addition, the festival will display over 30 special exhibitions from regional guilds such as the Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild, PieceMakers Quilters and the Sankofa Artisans, travelling quilt collections and the annual national judged competition. Once again Mancuso Show Management sponsored the juried exhibition, Celebration of Women: A Quilter’s Perspective with a portion of the entry fees going to A Woman’s Place (AWP), the only domestic violence community benefit organization in Bucks County, PA. Shopping is a must at the event Merchant’s Mall with a diverse assortment of vendors selling sewing machines, fabric, wool, clothing, notions and more. Attendees can sit in on, at no additional charge, several midday lectures and product demonstrations. Back by popular demand are Fashion Friday, an attendee-driven fashion show, and Sticker Saturday, where collecting stickers can earn you a prize. New this year, the Brandywine Rug Hooking Guild will offer rug hooking demonstrations throughout the event. Quilters and textile artists can also preregister for workshops taught by a nationally recognized faculty. This year’s event is sponsored by Major Sponsors: BERNINA/Hayes Sewing Machine Company, BERNINA Longarm/Domesticity, Brother/Byrne Sewing, Baby Lock/Hayes Sewing Machine Company, Janome/Pocono Sew &amp; Vac and Husqvarna Viking &amp; Pfaff/Sew ‘n Place. Open to the public, show tickets can be purchased on-site. General admission is $18 and includes re-admission for all days. Sunday only general admission is $16. Accompanied children under the age of 16 are admitted free. Discounted tickets for groups of 20 or more can be arranged by contacting our office at (215) 862-5828. <h1>A Place to Move, Grow, and Belong: AUDITION for Metropolitan Ballet’s Boys’ Scholarship Program</h1>
What happens when young boys are given the opportunity to discover dance, not simply as an art form, but to build strength, confidence, discipline, and connection?
For nearly three decades, Metropolitan Ballet Company’s Boys’ Scholarship Program has been doing exactly that. Now celebrating its 28th year, the program invites boys ages 7-17 to audition for a year of tuition-free dance training, performance opportunities, and the chance to become part of a community of young men discovering what they can do through movement.
Auditions for the 2026–2027 Boys’ Scholarship Program will be held Friday, September 18, at Metropolitan Ballet Academy in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.
No previous dance experience is necessary for boys ages 7-11 and 12-17. Beginners should arrive ready to participate in a welcoming introductory class from 4:30-5:30pm. Gym clothes and socks are all that are needed, although dance attire and shoes are welcome for those who have them.&nbsp;For experienced dancers, additional classes will be held at 5:30 and/or 6:30pm. Training Designed for Young Men
The Boys’ Scholarship Program offers tuition-free, all-male classes designed to develop far more than dance technique. Through classical ballet, contemporary dance, and partnering, students build athleticism, flexibility, coordination, and “motor intelligence”: an awareness of how the body moves through space.
Leading this training is an exceptional faculty of professional dancers and educators, including Daniel Mayo, Vitaly Verterich, and Da’ Von Doane. Together, they create an environment where boys can challenge themselves, learn from one another, and discover the discipline and joy that come with serious training.
From the Studio to the Stage
For many students, the experience extends well beyond the classroom. For the past five years, Metropolitan has fielded a cast of boys for George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, giving young dancers the extraordinary opportunity to perform on the stage of the Academy of Music alongside artists of Philadelphia Ballet. It is an experience that can transform the way a young person sees himself.
The possibilities don’t end there. The program’s students, affectionately known as the “MET MEN,” regularly earn scholarships to prestigious summer and year-round dance programs. Its alumni have gone on to perform professionally with organizations including BalletX, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Philadelphia Ballet, Sacramento Ballet, Alabama Ballet, Rubberband Dance, and many others.
Nearly 30 Years of Opportunity
Since its founding in 1999, the Boys’ Scholarship Program has provided more than $1.7 million in tuition-free dance education to more than 425 boys.
Those numbers tell an important story, but perhaps the more meaningful measure is what happens to the young men who pass through the program. Classical dance asks students to work hard, pay attention, persevere, and continually refine their skills. It teaches them how to respond to challenges and how to contribute to an ensemble. Those lessons have value far beyond the studio, whether a student ultimately pursues a career in the performing arts, attends college, or follows an entirely different path.
For nearly 30 years, Metropolitan’s Boys’ Scholarship Program has opened the door to opportunity - one class, one performance, and one young dancer at a time.
