Fort Washington Historic Mansion Hosting Working Dog Demonstrations
Check out some beautiful pups display the skills utilized by the most important working canines in the world today.

FORT WASHINGTON, PA — A historic mansion in Fort Washington is hosting a unique program that will give the public insight into the talents of the most important and talented working canines in the world today.
The Highland Mansions and Gardens will host a Working Dog Demostration on Oct. 22 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Here's what organizers have to say:
"The dedication and focus of both dogs and their handlers, and the teamwork and trust between canines and humans is impressive to watch.K-9 Units, Retrievers, Assistance and Reading Dogs, all are well-trained animals who work hard for a living. The Fly-Ball skills of local dogs will also be on display. The Demonstration is family-friendly."

The estate, which dates to 1794, has long had dogs as part of their tradition. Diaries have shown that the dogs were important companions and workers from the late 18th through the mid 20th century on the property.
Admission is $10. Pets are not allowed.
