Video footage of the fight showed one member of school staff attempt to break up the melee, but she got hit and knocked down. She remained motionless on the floor of the hallway for the duration of the video.
McFall said that he is holding meetings with students and faculty throughout the day Thursday.
"It goes without saying that the violence that transpired on Wednesday is intolerable and heart-wrenching," McFall said. "Such behaviors do not represent the larger student body community. The District will impose severe sanctions on abuses of our code of conduct...to ensure a healthy school culture for all."
