Glenside Seeks Support For 1st St. Patrick's Day Parade Costs
A GoFundMe page has been launched to raise funds for the March 8 parade in Keswick Village.
GLENSIDE, PA —Organizers of the first St. Patrick's Day Parade in March need a little luck of the Irish.
Jamie Breznicky, who is organizing the fundraiser, said the parade needs support for the event, which will be held on March 8 with a parade in Keswick Village starting at 1 p.m. and a festival from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. See the parade route below
"We're thrilled to bring our community together to celebrate Irish heritage with a day full of fun," organizers said. "Join us for a spectacular celebration featuring a lively parade through the heart of Glenside, followed by a vibrant festival."

Over $150 has been raised for the page's $10,000 goal.

- Parade —1 p.m. Featuring marching bands, dance troupes, local organizations, and colorful floats.
- Festival —2-6 p.m. After the parade, enjoy delicious food, refreshing beverages, live music, kids' activities, local vendors, and more.
The event is organized by the Glenside St. Patrick's Day Parade Association, dedicated to fostering community spirit and celebrating Irish culture.
"We invite everyone to come out, wear their green, and be part of this exciting new tradition in Glenside," organizers said.
The GoFundMe page will go toward paying for:
- Permits: $350
- Insurance: $200
- Porta potties: $250 each
- Police overtime: $1,800
- Pipe bands: $3,000 each
