Home Broken Into Wednesday Morning, Man Charged: Abington Police
Abington Police said Keith Andrew Weisel broke into a home at about 11 a.m. Wednesday and tried to make off with jewelry.

ABINGTON, PA — Burglary and drug related charged gave been filed after police said a man broke into an Abington home Wednesday.
Keith Andrew Weisel, 46, of Horsham, has been charged with burglary, theft, possession of a controlled substance, and more charges, Abington Township Police said.
Officers were called to a home on the 1200 block of Highland Avenue at about 11:03 a.m. after witnesses said they saw a man go into the home's backyard, break a window, then go inside the home.

Police surrounded the home and found the man, later identified as Weisel, inside the home.
Weisel tried to run out the home's front door with jewelry, but was stopped after a struggle, police said.

Court records show Weisel was arrested by Upper Moreland Police on Tuesday and charged with burglary and other crimes.
Weisel is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 3.
