How To Donate To The Red Cross In Abington Before The Holiday Season

ABINGTON, PA — There are several upcoming opportunities to donate blood in the Montgomery County area before the holiday season.

More donations are needed in the weeks leading up to the holidays to help stock the shelves, the Red Cross said.

Many donors typically do not give blood between Thanksgiving and New Years Day due to other activities and travel.

For patient Emily Bratton, getting a blood donation after the birth of her first child saved her life.

“I know that my life was saved because someone, somewhere, was willing to donate their blood,” said Bratton. “There aren’t words to describe how incredibly thankful I am that people are willing to donate blood to help a stranger.”

An upcoming event will be held in Abington on Nov. 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians on 1500 Marian Road.
