Jewelry, More Taken In Abington Home Burglary

Abington Township Police said a Gilbert Road home was broken into recently and had jewelry and more items stolen from it.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Abington said a township home was broken into recently.

The victim told police on Tuesday that their home on the 1300 block of Gilbert Road was burglarized.

At least one person got into the residence by breaking open a second-floor window, which was directly above the roof of the home's enclosed patio, police said.

After getting inside, the burglar or burglars took jewelry and other items.

Police urge residents to sign up for home checks when they are away and to register security cameras with police.
