West Trenton Line Changes To Last A Month

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The West Trenton Line will be operating on single tracking for several hours each day from now through late October for a construction project, SEPTA said.

SEPTA said that weekday and weekend single tracking will take place due to the Bethayres Interlocking Project, which calls for building the panels for the interlocking installation in and around Bethayres Regional Rail Station over the next month.

As a result, the West Trenton Line will convert to a single-tracking operation weekdays from Monday through Friday, Oct. 23, between the Noble and Neshaminy Falls stations.

The West Trenton Line has around 20 stops starting from West Trenton into Philadelphia.

The stops are Yardley, Woodbourne, Langhorne, Neshaminy Falls, and Trevose in Lower Bucks County and Rydal, Noble, Jenkintown-Wyncote and Elkins Park in eastern Montgomery County.

This new interlocking will provide operation flexibility, which will be key in minimizing single track outages for the future construction of the Jenkintown Station ADA Improvement Project.

The single track operation will only be in place between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

As a result, both Inbound and Outbound trains will utilize only one track at Noble, Rydal, Meadowbrook, Bethayres, Philmont, Forest Hills, Somerton, Trevose, and Neshaminy Falls stations.

During this time all trains will board and discharge passengers on the inbound platform (towards Center City). This will affect train #s 5312, 5316, 5320, 6322, and 6324. Signage will be posted.

Beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, through Sunday, Oct. 18, crews will be performing track work along the West Trenton Line between Noble and Neshaminy Falls stations.

As a result, both Inbound and Outbound trains will utilize only one track at Noble, Rydal, Meadowbrook, Bethayres, Philmont, Forest Hills, Somerton, Trevose, and Neshaminy Falls stations.

During this time all trains will board and discharge passengers on the inbound platform (towards Center City).

This will affect Train #6360 on Friday, Oct. 16, 2026, and all trains on Saturday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18. Signage will be posted.

Weekend work will allow crews to build the crossover for the interlocking. Additional weekend work will continue for several weekends in November.
