Man Pointed Gun At Abington Officer, Posted Photo Online: Police
Abington Police said a Philadelphia man pointed a handgun at an officer in a police vehicle and posted a photo of it on social media.

ABINGTON, PA — Police in Abington Township has charged a Philadelphia man with recklessly endangering another person after they said he posted a photo of himself pointing a gun at a police vehicle.
Ramil Dyer, 22, of Philadelphia, is accused of sharing a photo of himself aiming a semi-automatic handgun at a uniformed Abington Police Officer operating a marked Abington Police vehicle back in July.
The caption, police said, referred to Dyer as a "cop killer."

Police said the officer in the vehicle was unaware a firearm was pointed at him.
Dyer was stopped next to the officer and slightly behind him at a red light, and there was heavy window tint on Dyer's vehicle, police said.

Authorities began investigating the photo after being made aware of it.
Dyer was identified as a suspect, and authorities learned the firearm in the photo was real, police said.
Dyer was taken into custody on Thursday while on his way to work in West Norriton.
He is out of custody after posting $5,000 bail Friday.
Dyer is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 3 court records show.
