New Details Emerge About Girl Robbed At Montco School Bus Stop
Cheltenham Township Police have tracked down the car used in the robbery of a student late last month.
CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Cheltenham Township Police have tracked down the car used in the "strong-arm robbery" of a student at a school bus stop late last month.
The Cheltenham Township Police Department is investigating a strong-arm robbery at 7:45 a.m. Sept. 25 in the 400 block of Asbury Avenue in the township's Melrose Park section in which a juvenile female was approached by a black Kia sedan and a man exited the vehicle and robbed her, taking a cellular phone.
Police believe the suspects also attempted similar robberies at two other bus stops.

With the help of the public and news media, police located the suspect’s black Kia Optima, which was stolen and later recovered by Philadelphia Police.
Cheltenham detectives processed the car for fingerprints and DNA and also recovered video that showed the primary suspect.

The occupants of the vehicle are two black men and a black woman in their late teens/early 20s. The woman was described as having red or maroon braided hair.
A police investigation later determined that the same vehicle/occupants had approached two other bus stops in the area on Mountain Avenue and Valley Road, where similar robberies were attempted.
