• Abington police are investigating antisemitic and racist graffiti at a Glenside playground (inquirer.com) — Abington Township police are investigating antisemitic and racist graffiti spray-painted across Weldon Playground in Glenside, a site owned by the Abington School District. Local leaders condemned the vandalism as hateful and cowardly, while dozens of residents quickly turned out to scrub away the messages. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them as the community works to keep the playground welcoming for every child.

• Multiple crews extinguish housefire in Huntingdon Valley (glensidelocal.com) — Fire crews from Huntingdon Valley and several neighboring departments, including Abington Fire Company, knocked down a serious house fire on Corn Crib Drive Saturday afternoon without injuring the homeowner. One firefighter was possibly hurt, prompting a county rescue squad response, and the Lower Moreland fire marshal is now investigating how the blaze spread heavy smoke throughout the home.
