PECO Utility Improvements Planned In Cheltenham Township

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —PECO has two utility improvements planned in the township, one lasting until the end of the month and another lasting into November.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that PECO Energy will perform utility construction on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
